Certifications and Trainings

FIPP hosts live training events at your site or ours by special request. Trainings can be provided at our state-of-the-art facility in Morganton, North Carolina, or you can contact us and request that we provide a specific learning experience for your group at your facility. Trainings held at FIPP can provide participants with opportunities to learn from a variety of facilitators in our learning environment as well as observe our evidence-based practices in action.

Some training events provide participants with certifications. Certification courses are offered in small cohorts that meet synchronously and asynchronously multiple times over the course of a three-to-six-month period. Certifications require a demonstration of competency with the use of the practices in which the participant is being certified and may be renewed every two years in order to remain active.

Training events are customized for your program and are quoted based on the length of the event, the number of trainers needed, and anticipated travel expenses (if applicable). Contact the FIPP Professional Development Coordinator at [email protected] to discuss your training needs and to obtain a quote.

Certification Courses

Fidelity in Practice – Early Intervention

FIP-EI Certification training is self-paced and is offered through our learning management system. Anyone can enroll in the course, but it is intended for supervisors, managers, and peer coaches. The course introduces the FIP-EI observation guide and checklists and provides opportunities for participants to watch videos of early intervention visits and rate their observation using the FIP-EI checklists. To earn certification, participants must watch at least six videos and have at 80% alignment or better with at least four of the videos. Participants are encouraged to increase their experience during the course by supplementing their course experiences with real-life experiences using the FIP-EI to assess their program staff. This course is self-paced, but typically takes three to six months to complete. The cost for the FIP-EI training is $299 per-person. A discount is available for North Carolina Infant Toddler Program participants.
