Dr. Ramirez is a bilingual (English/Spanish) mixed‑methods researcher whose work centers on bridging research, practice, and community. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Brown University and her doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2025. Over the past decade, she has worked with families across the United States and in Latin America, developing a deep appreciation for cultural nuance, relational trust, and the everyday contexts that shape caregiving. Her experience includes conducting statewide Medicaid evaluations and studies with families, caregivers, and service providers. She is committed to strengthening family‑centered practice and supporting teams in developing research and professional development efforts that honor the communities they serve. Outside of work, Dr. Ramirez enjoys hiking in western North Carolina, exploring waterfall trails, and spending time with her husband, her niece and nephew, and her chihuahua, Waffles.
