
Teran earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in early childhood education, specializing in both general and special education, from Kansas State University. She also holds a Ph.D. in special education from the University of Kansas, focusing on early intervention research. As a certified educator, she has a Birth-Kindergarten teaching license. Teran’s extensive experience in early childhood education includes roles as a lead teacher in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, as well as an early intervention teacher (birth-3) and an EI program coordinator. Her professional duties include facilitating PSP team meetings, serving as a certified early intervention fidelity coach, developing practitioner tools, conducting trainings for early intervention providers, co-authoring journal articles, and providing direct services to children and families.
