
Ms. McClelland received a Diploma in Nursing from Mercy School of Nursing in 1986 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2004. Teresa has over 30 years of experience in pediatric nursing and has worked alongside physicians and healthcare providers in a variety of settings, including pediatrics, obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, and private practice.
Teresa has been with FIPP since 2000 and has served in multiple roles including Early Head Start Disabilities Coordinator, Health Services Coordinator, and Nursing Supervisor. While serving as the Early Head Start Health Coordinator, Teresa coordinated the FIPP Health Services Advisory Committee in three counties and conducted training on medical care coordination. Her current research project will identify effective methods to support preschool children and their families to improve healthy lifestyles.
