
Before joining FIPP as the Administrative Specialist: Billing, Referrals, and Records Coordinator, Mrs. Cornett began her North Carolina career in July 2012, serving as the Administrative Associate for Professional Services at the J Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. She is a graduate of Polk State College in Winter Haven, Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree with Summa Cum Laude Honors in Business Administration: Supervision and Management. She received a second Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Western Governors University, where she is currently dual enrolled in Master of Science programs in Accounting and Information Technology in preparation for pursuing Certified Public Accountant licensure. She has achieved the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service and served on the committee to research, obtain, test, and implement new electronic health record systems for FIPP (Raintree) and DHHS (Epic). Mrs. Cornett is a clogging and line dance instructor, focusing on teaching low-income families, and serves as a Nationally Certified USCDKA Taekwondo instructor and tournament judge. Mrs. Cornett loves to ride her Harley Davidson through the Blue Ridge mountains and kayak the beautiful waterways when she is not working, doing homework, or petting her colony of cats.
