Ms. Byers brings over 26 years of nursing experience to her work with families of children with medical complexities. Her extensive background includes specialized care in NICU, Early Intervention, and Pediatric Case Management. As a Certified Case Manager, Early Intervention Fidelity Coach, and Infant-Toddler Family Specialist, Kristi is deeply committed to utilizing the most current evidence-based practices. Kristi utilizes child interest, natural learning environment practices and resource-based practices to empower families to be the best teacher for their children. Kristi uses a coaching interaction style, focusing on building family capacity and fostering strong advocacy skills. Kristi also supports other early intervention professionals in her fidelity coach role to achieve fidelity using coaching and natural learning environment practices. Kristi’s passion for supporting children and families has currently lead her to actively pursue her Infant Mental Health endorsement. Kristi actively shares her expertise through presentations at both national and local levels, advocating for best practices in early intervention.
